Origins
I discovered the Csound program at an engineering conference in Las Vegas back in the summer of 2006. My interest was captivated when a live show/demonstration was synthesized before my eyes. They wirelessly linked multiple processor boards to talk to each other and produce an orchestra in surround sound.
After the "show" they held a special development meeting and my interest has continued since.
Vision
My work on Ghost_Writer can be looked at as a a fun form of self employment minus the monetary pay.
My vision of the dream job is not a place of employment, but a work that enhances people and the culture in which they live. I am not a great musician but I enjoy the aesthetic experience through the process of sound synthesis.
"Sound and music is not simply synthesized, it is experienced."
Intentions
Ghost_Writer is my programming 'banzai tree'. I just piece away at it and it grows. This program has gone through many shapes and forms. Its look and feel changes as I add and remove functionalities.
Goals
My target user audience is IDM, Circuitbent, and Chiptune musicians. It may not look like much to the untrained eye, or should I say ear, but it is relevant to IDM musicians.
