Why?
This whole thing is just intellectual entertainment. Like the saying goes: engineers aren't boring people, we just get excited about boring things. My actual work is not as glamorous, but that's probably why I continued to toy with this thing.
Pride
There is a certain pride in doing this on my own and on the side of professional life. Since music is the ultimate goal, there is also the satisfaction of a painter who mixes his own colors.
Rewards
It is rewarding to know this project has left a positive impression on others; especially “our kind”. Occasionally, in public settings, interested people have initiated some interesting conversations with me through this.
Time
This projects gets pieced away when the time is there: weekends, late at night, “sick days”, ect.
